Field note: Dust Spike
The air shimmers over the steppe, and the wind carries dust in fine banners.
Today I come across a Dust Spike — tiny · striped · ears · wreath.
A spike puffs up if you approach too fast. Walk slowly and you can watch the spines soften.
If you want to meet one yourself: Steppe. It cannot be caught — only won over.
