Field note of the day

Field note: Deepsea Rooter

Deepsea Rooter

Out on the ocean everything is motion — waves to the edge of the world.

Today I come across a Deepsea Rooter — slender · two-tone · antennae · sparks.

A rooter digs itself in up to its head when threatened. What sticks out of the ground looks like a very serious stone.

If you want to meet one yourself: Ocean. It cannot be caught — only won over.
